The nursery walls....

My project this week while LT and Haley were out of town was to paint the nursery walls. Wednesday my dad came over and drew the waves on the walls. Then all I had to do was paint the green around them. Sounds so simple...not so much. The painting around the waves is what took the longest time! Of course he couldn't have made them simple!
Thursday I primed all around the waves and the rest of the wall. It took me forever. It took about 4-5 hours to prime around the waves because I had to use three different size paint brushes. Then after dinner, I rolled the top part of the walls and that only took about an hour. That was the easy part!
Then yesterday, Alyssa came over and helped start the green. It took us a couple of hours to finish the whole first coat of green. I did two coats on the waves though. That way today I only had to do the rolling of the second coat of green and the edges by the ceiling.

It is finally finished, except dad now wants to work on the waves and make them look like real waves. He also needs to paint the bottom of the closet doors blue, since that is not a no odor paint. We are almost there! :) I can't wait to have the pictures hung and see how it all looks together. The crib will be put together when LT gets home, but maybe I can have my dad move the changing table in there for me now as well!

Here are a couple pictures.

This is what you see when you walk in the room. The wall with the window has the darker blue on it, as you can tell. The other two walls are a lighter blue, not white like it looks in the picture.

This is the closet doors that need to have the bottom part painted blue. But you can see that the lighter walls are a light blue compared to the white primer on the closet doors.

I'll post more pictures when we are done! Or closer to done, that is.
