Who says daddy doesn't carry the babies?

LT wanted me to post this...his comment was "Who says that daddy doesn't carry the babies?" Yeah, if only they were that easy to carry!
But all in all it's a pretty cute picture!

16 weeks!

Yesterday, I was 16 weeks along. Here is the belly pic from last night.

Since I am way behind..here are the u/s pics from the NT scan at 13w4d.

Here is baby A.

Here is Baby B.

I have been feeling pretty good. More uncomfortable than anything. However, after walking more than I am used to at the beach this past week, I started having some groin pains. I seem to be better now at least. Other than that its been the same ol stuff. Pretty boring. On the other note, I think I have been feeling little kicks though. At least this time around I know what they feel like. But I only feel them when I am laying down ready for bed and super still. It's still neat the second time around. And I have no idea which baby is kicking either.

3 more weeks to wait....and wait.

OB appt.

This morning I had my second OB appt. I had Haley all by myself this morning and she did pretty well. My blood pressure was high when I went in this morning, so they had to take it again afterwards. Dr. Forrest made a comment about this is why they recommend bed rest to people because their blood pressure is always better laying down (after he took it while I was laying down). So that kinda freaked me out just a little bit and has me worried down the road. I definitely think it was from carrying H up the stairs into the building and trying to get her out of the house to go this morning. Hopefully it won't be like that every month.
He got my test results from the NT scan this morning and he said everything looked great! Both twins are less than 1 in 10,000 chance to having downs. That is great news of course! He did an u/s and looked at the heartbeats and they were both great and strong. It was hard to see on their little screen, but I got to catch a glimpse. Baby B was holding his/her hands, it was pretty cute.

That was it! Quick, short and painless! In and out! The way they should be of course! I go back on the 9th in the afternoon after my anatomy scan.

Minivan....

Yesterday we arrived into true parenthood....we bought a minivan. We had an 08 Sienna transferred from NC and it came in on Thursday. We went to look at it and test drive it yesterday. Well we ended up coming home with it! The 8 passenger ones are very hard to come by, especially used. There would have been no way we could've afforded a new one plus what was left on the Equinox. We were there forever for some reason. Ended up leaving there a little after 9 after they closed! We had to run to Target to get Haley a dry outfit as her daddy gave her a bottle of water that was over half full and she dumped it all over herself. Then we needed to find food. We stopped to get milkshakes and onion rings at Cheeburger Cheeburger and then the rest of the places were closed. We headed to Wegmans to see what they had still open and ended up with pizza and goodies for breakfast. Then we headed home!
Poor Haley was so tired she couldn't sleep. She finally fell asleep at 10:15 in the car.

I will take pictures of the new ride at some point! Just had to share the excitement that we have moved up in life...or down, whichever way you look at it!

Score!

Right after I made my appt. for the 16th, I found a great deal to head to Florida! The only dates they had were where I was gone on the 16th. So being sneeky, I called my OB's office and asked them when to do the anatomy scan, she said between 18-20 weeks. I said not after that, she said no. Great! Just what I wanted to hear. I then called the other office and changed my appt. She kinda gave me a hard time because they do theirs at 20 weeks, and I said well I am out of town and my OB doesn't me to do it after 20 weeks. She was like well there might be a possiblity that you'd have to come back if you come at 19 weeks...am I supposed to have a problem with that?? ha.

So my new appt is July 9th!!! Now I only have to wait 5 weeks from today instead of 6!! Yippee!!

I am 14 weeks today, so it's time for another belly pic. I will have LT take one tonight. I have gained two pounds, which I guess is good. I see Dr. Forrest on Monday, we will see what he has to say. I am still feeling pretty good, so no complaints here. Other than doing little things that make me out of breath, its pretty sad. What do you want for carrying two babies, right?

Anways, H is screaming for dinner! Laters.

Yesterday's nuchal scan

Yesterday my parents came to switch cars with me so they could watch Haley. You never know how long these appts. will take. I got there about 3:05 and already had to pee. They said they wanted a full bladder. I think my bladder was too full! I checked in and the lady took forever to do paperwork and everything else. But she did let me go to the bathroom and then she made me drink more water! Two and a half cups later I had to pee really bad again. I was thinking if they didn't call me soon my bladder would burst.

As I was sitting in the waiting room, there was a family with a son who was basically the male version of Haley just with more hair. I asked how old he was and turns out he is 5 days younger than Haley. Well she of course was pregnant again, and it turns out that she is due 5 days after me! Talk about ironic. But of course the twins will be born before that, but still pretty funny that they would be 5 days apart again.

Then the lady called me back to do the ultrasound. Only 20 minutes after my appt time and 50 minutes since getting there.

I need to come up with names for baby A and B so I don't have to type it all the time! I can't think of anything, so I will just have to type A and B until I come up with something. Suggestions are welcome of course!

I lay down on the table and she squirts all that gel on my belly and she starts. She is very speedy and not the most friendly person. There was also a student in the room watching. She does baby B first and gets all these measurements and pictures. Baby B has a big head measuring 14w4d. Baby B is also measuring 14w4d...I think Baby B took all the Chinese food I ate that one night! Baby B was doing flips and stretching, it was great to see. Baby B's heartrate was 138. It was the first time I got to hear heartbeats, so that was amazing.

She then goes looking for Baby A and we learned that Baby A is the stubborn one. Baby did not want to move at all for nothing. She was making me cough and making me roll from side to side and then she made me life up my butt off the table. Try doing all these when you really need to pee! Baby A continued to just sit comfortably. She let me go use the bathroom thinking that might give Baby A more room to move. She did get to measure Baby A and Baby A was measuring 14weeks. Baby A also has a big head, about the same as Baby B. Baby A's heartrate was 142.
So here I go walking to the bathroom trying to hold my shirt away from my stomach, to make sure it doesn't get gel all over it. Then my shorts start to fall and my other hand is trying to hold up my shorts...it was a sight to see. I feel very relieved after that and then walking back was the same thing. One hand holding my shirt away from my stomach and the other holding my shorts up. The nurse asked me on the way back if I was ok! ha...so Im sure it looked like a great sight to watch. I lay back down on the table and Baby A was still in the same spot, but she was able to get him/her to move enough to get some measurements. I was done with them, then I had to go back into the waiting room to get blood drawn and then see a doctor. I waited a couple more minutes and then the nurse called me back. She took blood from my finger and it was pretty painful! No wonder babies always cry when they have blood taken from there. Then I had to go back and wait for a doctor to call me to discuss the u/s results. I didn't wait long again and of course I didn't sit long with him either. He basically said everything looks great and they are measuring great. They are di/di twins, which basically means they are fraternal, coming from two eggs. Then he told me to make my appt for the anatomy scan.......here is the kicker....in 7 WEEKS.....is he CRAZY??? How am I supposed to wait another 7 weeks to find out if there is at least one boy in there??

After being there for almost two hours, I was finally done and with an appt to come back in 7 weeks. The day is July 16th at 9am! At least this time I will be the first person to be seen! She said the u/s is an hour and a half long! I'm gonna need an extra pillow!

I did get a picture of Baby A and Baby B, but left them in my parents car. So they are not around at the moment. When I get them I will take pictures and post them.
