Updates

There really are no updates. I was supposed to have my nuchal scan yesterday, but had to change it due to going to grandmas funeral in Indiana. The only day they had available was Monday at 315. So now I have to wait till Monday to see the babies. It was worth it though. I got to see family I haven't seen in 22 years, so it was good to meet them all over again! I'm sure grandma loved having Haley there as well. It was basically a win win situation.

I am feeling fine. Still tired, but that could just be from chasing Haley around all the time. I haven't been as hungry lately, which I suppose is good.

That is really all the exciting stuff going on here. No big updates yet. I will probably post again after my nuchal scan.

12 weeks today!

I can't believe my second trimester is already here. Wow time flies. It was a pretty easy one just like with Haley. Other than the bacterial infection, but that wasn't pg related. I'm feeling great, just extra tired. I have to nap when Haley naps or I won't make it past 2pm. Other than getting winded carrying her up the stairs or going up the stairs twice in a row, makes me out of breath. I was looking at my 12week belly pics from Haley and I think it is about the same, except I have more weight on me this time around. I will take pics tonight, but will not put the ones from H up cause they are bare belly, or bare fat I should say! ha.

I may or may not put the ones up that I take tonight. I think I will post once I really start to show and get big.

The other night LT and I went to dinner with my parents and Goldberg's. We went to our favorite Chinese restaurant and you would've thought that I hadn't eaten in a year. I told my parents which appetizers to order and basically picked out all the dinner options as well. I had a spring roll, two pan fried dumplings, 1/3 of the dan dan noodles, some sweet and sour chicken, two helpings of the crispy beef and two little sherbet cups! Talk about gluten overload! I wasn't really full afterwards either. I probably could've eaten something when I got home too. They were in shock that I ate so much, as was I. I weighed myself the next morning and I had lost two pounds! How does that work? Especially without going to the bathroom!

Apparently these babies are eating all of my food and I get nothing! This is just so much different than with Haley. I mean I ate my fair share of pizza and ice cream, but it was never this much. Either its all cravings since I haven't had gluten in so long or it's these babies causing me to have cravings...or both!

That's really all I have to report. Next Wednesday is my nuchal scan, which I am excited to see the babies again and see how much they have grown. Also scary because this is where they test for downs and from what I've been hearing this isn't an accurate test for twins. It'll be interesting to hear what they have to say. This is the first time I see the peri and then I will schedule my anatomy scan for 18 weeks!! Pray there is one boy in there for me!! hehe.

Till next time.

If you make it this far you are doing good! Even LT won't read it because he told me it's too wordy! ha..thanks a lot!

Exactly one month ago today....

we found out we were having twins! Since I haven't put this in here yet, thanks for Lisa for pointing it out to me...my due date is December 3rd. However, twins never go to 40 weeks due to risks and I don't think I would want to carry them that far! So they will come out if all is well two weeks before that, so around November 19th. We can basically pick the date if all is going well with them.

I think some of the shock has gone away and it is just excitement now. Of course the technical side of things are still hanging over our heads, like the minivan and the stroller situation. Too many things to think about now. Will I ever be able to go out of the house with all 3 kids??? That is the question that looms! I'm going to have to be able to work it out because poor Haley gets so bored at home. I'm also going to have to find a nanny to help me out part time...if we can afford one.

I am not showing yet...well of course I looked like I was still pregnant after giving birth to Haley. But my jeans are getting a little too tight. My weight has stayed the same since losing a bunch of weight with the bacterial infection from London. I am super tired all the time, the littlest things get me out of breath. Especially carrying Haley around for a period of time, even just to carry her up the stairs. I nap when she naps most of the time. I have been super hungry all the time as well. I can even eat gluten without any kind of reaction except in the long run I think it might be bad for me. But in hopes that it will be good for the babies in the future, I will still eat it! It does feel good to have Subway subs again though. I was craving one for a couple days now, so today I picked one up since there was one in the Walmart this morning! :) Yummy!!

All for now, Haley wants to go eat.

First OB appt.

Everything went well and it was good to see Dr. Forrest again! Here are pictures from today...I did it right this time! I am so proud. :)

Here is Baby B and Baby A. Baby B is on the left and baby A on the right. Baby A is baby A because he/she is lower. They are both measuring right on target at 10w4d. Dr. Forrest said that they both get an A for being on target at his first time seeing them.

This is a pic of Baby B. You can already see the facial features, it was amazing. The changes that can happen in two weeks. I wish he had given me a picture of baby A because you could see that he/she has daddy's nose just like Haley does. It was crazy.

Back to my appt details. We first talked in his office for a good 20 minutes. He called for my chart and then he started out how I have done this before and it's going to be similar. I said but there are two in there! He goes, "Oh, I didn't know that type of news! That changes things a little bit then." It was great to see his reaction. I thought Dr. Allen would've told him, but I'm glad she didn't. It was funny. He talked about how things were going to be just like a regular singleton pregnancy up until I hit about 20-24 weeks. I will go monthly until then. At that point I will switch to biweekly. From 24-30 weeks he said was a critical growth time for twins, so I have to take it easy and dont do anything crazy. Also he said if we are going to travel we have to do it between now and mid August. He said as long as I am in the US and/or Europe, I should be fine. He also said as long as I make it to 37-38 weeks that would be great. Of course they would do the c-section. I told him there was no way I was going through pushing out twins after pushing and getting nowhere the first time around! He was laughing.

He said I should eat about 20% more caleries for them, but not to overdue it. He gave me a referral to see the peri for my nuchal translucency scan between 12 and 14 weeks. It is scheduled on the 27th of May. (I guess I need another babysitter for Haley!) Then he said that I would also see them again for the anatomy scan at 18 weeks. After that I would see them every 4-6 weeks for growth scans, all depending on how they are growing, etc.

Then he did a swab for some std or something and then he did the ultrasound. It was just amazing to see how much they have grown in two weeks. I could see both of their profiles and as I said before one of them already has daddys nose! Maybe just maybe they will be able to tell the anatomy at the 13 week nuchal scan! I can only hope. 18 weeks seems so far away. The date is July 1st......hopefully they can do it on that exact date!

Haley was a champ at the appt playing in the play area with Grammy. I was very proud that I didnt hear her screaming or anything while I was in the exam room. Good for Haley! Already showing she can be a good big sister!

All for now. Still feeling good and everything has been going great.

Ultrasound pictures.....finally!!

,

Here was my first u/s on 4/13 where we found out we were having twins!! Here they are!

Meet baby A, who is on my right side. Baby A was measuring 6w2 days.

Meet Baby B, on my left side! Who was measuring 6w1d.

Here was my latest u/s done on 4/23, 10 days after the first one! I don't know what they were measuring because they aren't at the bottom of the pictures like the other ones. But they were right on target. It's not a really good pic of both of them, but that is all they could get!

Baby A again.

And baby B!

There was an u/s a couple days before this one, but the pictures of the pictures didn't come out as well, so I will have to take them again. Those also have the measurements on them as well.

So there they finally are!! Meet baby A and baby B!! :)

10 weeks today!

I can't believe it. I will be almost in my second trimester already. I am already having trouble sleeping at night and my pants are starting to get snug and uncomfy. I'm not sure if that is just from having twins growing inside me or the combo if it being my second pregnancy. I don't think I am showing as I have always looked pg even when I wasn't. Someday I will take some clothed belly pics. But the way that I am going they will be posted just like the u/s of the twins. ha.

I have been so tired. Not sure if it's from all the rain we have been having or the combo of the two. I have my OB appt on Monday and I am so excited for it. I have many questions to ask Dr. Forrest of course as my nestie buddies have give me the good ones to ask. What would I do without the multiples board? ;)

I am still trying to fill out all of the darn paperwork that has to be turned in on Monday. I can't wait to see my babies again.

I have taken a few steps closer to get the pics on here, we took pictures of the u/s and now I just need to upload them onto the computer. Maybe I will do that now while H is sleeping!
