Latest update..

Not much really to update. Other than I still haven't scanned the pics of the twins. I am so behind. It turns out that the diarrhea that I was having was a bacterial infection with a really long name. Here is the definition from the internet of what it was:

"Campylobacter" bacteria are the second most frequently reported cause of foodborne illness. A comprehensive farm-to-table approach to food safety is necessary in order to reduce campylobacteriosis. Farmers, industry, food inspectors, retailers, food service workers, and consumers are each critical links in the food safety chain. This document answers common questions about the bacteria "Campylobacter," describes how the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is addressing the problems of "Campylobacter" contamination on meat and poultry products, and offers guidelines for safe food handling to prevent bacteria, such as "Campylobacter," from causing illness.

Nice huh? I got a call yesterday from the Fairfax County Health Dept telling me about this. I never heard from my GI doctor about this of course. So she was double checking that I didn't work in a restaurant where I could spread this to others. Apparently it can only be transferred from poop. Who knows.

So I called my OB just to make sure that it wouldn't have harmed the babies in any way. Dr. Allen had never heard of it, so she contacted the GI doc with what to do. Good thing she got to talk to someone there! They were supposed to put me on an antibiotic to fix it, but of course the GI doc has yet to call me. Whatever. Its time for another GI doc!

But the good thing is, it wouldn't harm the babies. Thank goodness. That's the latest here. Still no symptoms of being pg. Other than peeing a lot when I drink a lot, but thats normal! Oh and not being able to sleep on my tummy anymore. :( That was a very sad day. But thanks for my Snoggle pillow! :) It was well worth the $40.

The last visit at Shady Grove....

So today was my last visit at Shady Grove. :( It'll be very sad not to go back there. Everyone there is amazing and so nice. I got to see Dr. Garde one last time and she got to see the twins and Haley as well. Haley of course hammed it up the entire time! The twins look great, they are growing and have strong heartbeats! I can't complain. The heartbeats were 169 and 174 or something like that, but they didn't specify for which one. I got new pictures, but they didn't have how many weeks they were measuring on them. I'm not sure if that is because of the paper running out or because of the person taking the pictures. I will take a look at my records that they gave me to give Dr. Forrest when I go see him. Which is not until May 11th. I dont know if I can wait that long to see them again! ;) I just hope that everything stays healthy in there!

As for me, I am feeling fine and still have diarrhea. My stupid GI doctor hasn't called me back with the test results, so I will continue to wait and have the runs. What fun. Of course, not having morning sickness has me worried that there are two more girls inside there. What would I do with 3 girls? OMG. I can't even imagine. Then we have to think of two more names...oh my. Let's just hope that there is a boy in there and I will stick with that. Or that m/s comes along in a week or so. Or maybe my m/s is in the form of diarrhea. Who knows.

I took H to the mall today and we walked the upper and lower floors and towards the end of course trip, I was starting to feel it. Right where baby B is, was a little pain or just a stretching uterus.

I promise I will make LT bring out the scanner today and we will scan all of the pictures we have so far. I need to go wake up H right now. Till then.

Yesterday's visit

I went to the doctor yesterday because I was worried about the twins. I have been having the runs after everything I eat, so naturally I was worried they aren't getting enough nutrients. I had an appt at 9:45 and waited forever because they were backed up in the exam rooms. So finally I get to go in there and didn't wait long in there at all for the doctor. It was Dr. Saffran this time, I had not seen him before. He took a look at the babies and they look great! They both measured 7w3d. Their measurements were slightly off. I also found out that Baby A is on my right side and Baby B is on my left side. Baby A's heartrate was 162 and Baby B's was 154, both great numbers he said. I also got one more picture of each of them. :) I go back on Thursday to see Dr. Garde for the last time. So it will be our goodbye to her and Shady Grove. Thanks to SG for all of their great work in blessing us with twins! Sonia and Dr. Garde are the best! I couldn't have asked for better care while I was there. Sonia might actually miss getting all my message of random questions! :)

When we stop being lazy we will scan in the pictures of the lil ones! :)
